Join the Fort Lupton Fire Protection District as a Volunteer or Reserve Firefighter.

 The Fort Lupton Fire Protection District is always recruiting new members. All training and equipment is provided as well as other incentives. Applications are available on line or they can be obtained at the Fire District Office.

Dear Applicant: 

Thank you for your interest in the Fort Lupton Fire Department. The fire service is a very dedicated group of individuals who do a very dangerous job. It requires a lot of time and training. We are looking for individuals who are willing to dedicate some time for the betterment of the community and this agency. Firefighting is a very rewarding yet touching field and allows for personal growth and experiences. 

We accept applications for membership both Reserve and Volunteer positions throughout the year. However, we will only interview about two times per year generally at the start of the year and at about the mid point. The process will consist of a review of the applications by the officers of the department. Those individuals selected for an interview will be contacted. The interview will either be conducted at your place of residence or at the station. If the interview is at your residence, we encourage your family to be active in the interview and ask any questions that they or you may have. If you are successful in the interview process, then you will be contacted and those selected for conditional membership will be required to complete a background check and physical examination by a licensed physician. The next step would be a review and acceptance of the applicant by the department. 

If you are granted membership on the department, you will be required to complete a one-year probationary period and meet other guidelines that will be explained to you at the interview. Our career positions are selected from the existing group of volunteers and reserves.   

Those applicants who are not selected for further consideration will be notified and your application will be active for one year from the date it is completed.
