FIRE PREVENTION PROGRAMS

The Fort Lupton Fire Protection District believes that Fire Prevention Programs are an integral part of preventing fire related deaths and injuries in our community. Therefore, we put effort in not only responding to the emergencies but also preventing them. The Fire Marshal, Larry Richardson, has served the Fort Lupton Fire Protection District for a numbers of years and is dedicated to a fire safe community.

FIREFIGHTER FOR A WEEKEND

“Firefighter for a Weekend” is a community awareness program hosted by The Fort Lupton Fire Department. As a volunteer fire department, we are always looking for ways to thank the Fort   Lupton community for all of their support. Since we are primarily a volunteer fire department, we always look for good, dedicated members to join our organization. It is becoming more difficult to recruit people to volunteer and commit their personal time. The hands on experience will include many daily firefighter operations. These activities will include strenuous working conditions. Participants will be using “The Jaws of Life” which weighs around 50 pounds. In addition, they will be working in a live fire exercise, which will include heavy lifting, heavy protective equipment and extreme temperatures.
